Phase Comparator


Phase Comparators produce two outputs of equal amplitude and phase when fed by a reference and unknown signal. One output is proportional to the sine and the other to the cosine of the phase angle difference between the reference and the unknown signal. Each phase comparator is an assembly consisting of a power divider, two balanced mixers, a 90° hybrid and phase-matching network.
